Hello everyone and welcome to the Real Estate Minute. The future is here and the first robotic kitchen is coming real soon. Now a company out of Germany by the name of Moley has created a kitchen that will cook you home cooked meals with the touch of a button. Now, it’s super easy to do. All you have to do is cut your ingredients and put them on the countertop. The robot will do the rest. The goal behind Moley is so that families can create healthy home-cooked meals all around the world. Now you can input any of your recipes: Mom’s, Dad’s, or even Grandpa’s or you can buy recipes from any famous cook all around the world. Now the price on this kitchen is still unknown, but the release date is set to be 2017.
Older condo units are having a hard time competing with all the new development and construction all over Los Angeles. You can do the cosmetic changes, which everybody does which is the kitchen and the bathroom. Well, what if you want to take it to the next step. Step number one would be adding a bathroom to your condo. Now a lot of these older condos only have one bathroom. So adding another bathroom would add a tremendous amount of value. Now the second thing that you could do which would add tremendous amount of value that you would have to talk to your HOA about is adding a doorman concierge or valet. In a place where it’s all about convenience with all these different apps where it can transport you anywhere you want to go, get your groceries, or run you errands. It’s all about convenience. And lastly,it’s all about outdoor space. A lot of these new buildings have great amenities and a lot of these older buildings just don’t. So if you could talk to your HOA and add a nice rooftop garden or a deck, this would also add a tremendous amount return on your investment, not just for you, for your entire building.
It’s summertime and it’s all about the beach house. Now an Oceanfront beach house will cost you anywhere from 2 million dollars for a really nice condo to about 50 million dollars for a Malibu compound. Now for those of us who don’t have 50 million dollars, the beach is still free, guys. So up and down the coast we have some of the most beautiful beaches on the west coast. Starting in Orange County, we have Laguna and Newport. Tons of amazing restaurants and great shopping. Now as we keep moving up the coast we have Santa Monica. So, you can go and shop at Third Street Promenade, go to the beach and then watch the sunset from the ferris wheel. Now a little farther up north we have Malibu and Zuma. Some of these beaches are so serene where you can just go there to relax and have a great rest of your day. And lastly my favorite which is Santa Barbara. Beautiful beaches. You can go wine tasting. You can go horseback riding or just relax with a corona in hand.
